SC MDHLULI - CHAIRMAN
Mr. Mdhluli is an admitted Attorney with Right of Appearance in the High Court. He is the founder and sole Director of the Firm. He obtained his LLB degree from the University of Durban West-ville (now University of Kwa-Zulu Natal-Durban) and further obtained a certificate in Advanced Labour Law from the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Mdhluli commenced his professional career in 2002 working for the Road Accident Fund as a claims handler in the Claims Department, where he worked for almost 5 years before joining Gildenhuys Lessing Malatji Incorporated, one of the leading third party and commercial Law Firm in Pretoria where he completed his articles and got admitted in 2007. He practised in the Third Party division of the firm until he resigned in 2008.
He then joined Silinda Mokoena & Associates Incorporated in 2008 where he practiced as an Associate Director. The headed the Third party, Litigation and Labour Division of the firm. With his level of experience in Third Party Claims, Magistrates and High court litigation combined with his communication and articulation skills, Mr. Mdhluli offers reliable, tangible and effective services to clients.
In his tenure at Silinda Mokoena & Associates Inc., Mr Mdhluli acted as chairperson in numerous disciplinary hearings for Mbombela Local Municipality and various Departments of the Mpumalanga Provincial Government. He has also initiated disciplinary proceeding for the Mpumalanga Provincial Department of Rural development and Land Administration, Mpumalanga Tourism & Parks Agency and various community trusts including Mjejane and Matsafeni Trusts.
Mr Mdhluli also has vast experience in Debt collection. He has rendered debt collection services to various government parastatals which amongst others include the Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency (MEGA), Mpumalanga Housing Finance Corporation (MFHCO). His debt collection experience extends to the private sector where he also renders services to Mpumalanga Roof Trusses’, B & R Hardware and other companies.
Mr. Mdhluli also receives and handles instructions from the Mpumalanga Provincial Department of Land Affairs to assist with the transfer Land which has been successfully claimed into the names of the new beneficiaries. He has verified a number of Claims for the Land Claims Commission and conducted community trainings and assisted in the formation of the following legal entities on behalf of the Department of Land Affairs, Mpumalanga Regional Land Claims Commission and Limpopo Regional Land Claims Commission:-
• Phumlani Village Communal Property Association in the Ehlanzeni District, Mpumalanga Province.
• Mkhathswa Family Trust at the Gert Sibande District, Mpumalanga Province.
He was involved in a post-restitution programme with Matsafeni Trust, a community which successfully claimed their land through the Restitution of Land Rights Act and are the current holder of the land where the stadium which hosted some of the 2010 World Cup games is built., as their Legal Advisor.
He is currently the legal advisor of Matsafeni Trust, Ingwenyama Simhulu Trust and Mjejane Trust. All these trust runs a number of successful businesses on their restituted land.
Mr Mdhluli was involved and was the Project Manager in the verification of beneficiaries for the Mpumalanga Provincial Department of Human Settlement at Ehlanzeni district for the period between 11 May 2009 and 11 May 2012.
Mdhluli resigned from Silinda Mokoena & Associates Inc. at the end of 2012 and founded SC Mdhluli Attorneys where he currently practises. He currently renders services to various Municipalities which includes amongst others Capricorn District Municipality, Lepelle Nkumpi Local Municipality and Mbombela Local Municipality.
Mr. Mdhluli subscribes to the principle of “quality as opposed to quantity” and this is one quality that makes him an exceptional attorney.
